Single-edged sword with a heavy and towards the tip widening blade. Similar to a meat cleaver. Used mostly by infantry. Balanced more towards the tip therefore is effective vs. heavy armors.

Special (Renaissance) term for the upper, weaker part of a blade. Does most of the attacking for its speed and nimbleness.
Harness
A term used in preference to 'suit' when talking of a complete armour.
