Cod-piece
Fabric covering for the groin, latterly padded. Its counter­part in armour could be either of mail or, more usually, of plate.
Cuirbouilli
Tough leather for making armor.
Sabre
A sword with a curved, single-edged blade (probably originally derived from Eastern scimitars).
Tip
The pointed end of a sword’s blade. Most swords taper towards the tip, but some are straight until the very tip.
